What is Taekwondo?

• A martial art, meaning "hand and foot art", that originated a long time ago in Korea.
• Taekwondo will make its first Olympic appearance in the 2000 Olympics in Australia. The official Olympic site isn't much, so here is a better site on Taekwondo in the Olympics.
• Many different styles have developed, but, no doubt, one of the best is the ATA. ATA stands for American Taekwondo Association.
• Through the ATA, I train in Tallahassee, Florida under the guidance of Dr. Emory Morris. Dr. Morris has taught me since I began in 1987, at the age of 5. Since that time, he has opened a larger building and has one of the best schools in the region.
